Special Free Visa for Singapore PRs

Special Free Visa for Singapore PRs

Singapore Permanent Residents (PRs) with a Blue NRIC can enjoy a special free visa entry when visiting Bintan.

Eligibility:

  • Singapore PRs holding a Blue NRIC.
  • Spouses and children with a Long-Term Visit Pass (LTVP).

Rules:

  • Must travel together with the PR.
  • Bring proof of family relationship (marriage or birth certificate).

On Arrival:

  • Visitor Stay Permit stamped at immigration.
  • Valid for up to 4 days.
  • This policy applies only at selected entry points, including Bandar Bentan Telani Ferry Terminal (BBT) and Sri Bintan Pura Port (Tanjungpinang Ferry Terminal).
  • Policy effective from 31 January 2025.

Tip: Always bring your Blue NRIC; otherwise, you’ll need a regular VOA.

7-Day Paid Visa on Arrival (Riau Islands)

7-Day Visa on Arrival for Riau Islands

For short trips or quick holidays, the 7-day Visa on Arrival (VOA) is available for Bintan and other areas within the Riau Islands.

Important Scope:

  • This visa is only valid within the Riau Islands, including entry points such as Bandar Bentan Telani Ferry Terminal (BBT) and Sri Bintan Pura Port (Tanjungpinang Ferry Terminal).
  • It can only be obtained upon arrival at these designated entry points.
  • Travelers must also exit Indonesia through the same Riau Islands entry points where the visa is granted.

Details:

  • Fee: Rp 250,000 per person
  • Additional charge: Rp 3,000 bank processing fee
  • Validity: 7 days

Payment:

  • Payment is made directly at the ferry terminal upon arrival.
  • It is highly recommended to prepare cash in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) in advance before arriving in Bintan, to ensure a faster and smoother process at immigration.

Paid Visa on Arrival (VOA) — For Other Nationalities

Travelers who are not eligible for visa-free entry can obtain a Standard Paid Visa on Arrival (VOA).

Requirements:

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months
    Return or onward ticket

Details:

  • Fee: Rp 500,000
  • Validity: 30 days
  • Extension: Can be extended once for another 30 days (Rp 500,000)

How to Get the Visa:
There are two ways to obtain this visa:

  • Apply Online (Recommended)
    Submit your application through the official Indonesia Immigration e-Visa portal before your trip.
    Payment can be made using a credit or debit card.
    This option helps save time during arrival.

  • Get It on Arrival
    You can purchase the visa directly at the ferry terminal upon arrival in Bintan.
    Payment must be made in cash using Indonesian Rupiah (IDR 500,000).
    It is strongly recommended to prepare cash in advance before arriving, to ensure a smoother and faster process at immigration.
