Many travelers don’t realize that most hotels inside Bintan Resorts provide a shuttle service from Bandar Bentan Telani Ferry Terminal (BBT).
Some guests only find out after they arrive. Others are unsure how to arrange it, especially if they booked their stay through Agoda, Booking.com, or other marketplaces.
Over the years, Bintan Travel Guide (BTG) has often been contacted by travelers asking for transfer services from BBT to their hotel.
However, we do not provide transfers for hotels inside the Bintan Resorts area, as the journey is very short, typically between 5 to 20 minutes depending on the hotel.
The only exception is when travelers book a custom tour with us and request pickup directly from BBT as part of their itinerary.

How to Arrange Shuttle Based on How You Booked the hotel
Shuttle arrangements may differ depending on the hotel and how you made your booking. Some hotels arrange it automatically, while others require you to confirm your ferry arrival time in advance.
Below is what you need to do based on your booking method.
A. Booked via Travel Agent
If you booked your hotel through a travel agent, your shuttle is typically arranged in advance. The agent will usually coordinate your ferry timing and inform the hotel before your arrival.
If you’re unsure, or haven’t received any arrival instructions, it’s a good idea to check with your agent for confirmation. A quick message can give you peace of mind before your trip.

B. Booked via Agoda / Booking.com / Other Marketplaces
If you booked your hotel through Agoda, Booking.com, or another online marketplace, you’ll need to contact the hotel directly to share your arrival details.
After completing your reservation, use the “Contact Property” feature in your booking platform to inform the hotel about your ferry schedule.
When reaching out, be sure to include:
- Your ferry date and arrival time
- Your ticket class (Economy or Emerald)
This is important because Economy and Emerald ticket class may arrive at different arrival halls at Bandar Bentan Telani Ferry Terminal.
After sending your details, the hotel may reply with confirmation, or in some cases, there may be no response.
What matters most is that you have shared your ferry information and that your arrival details are recorded under your reservation. This allows the hotel team to include you in their arrival list for the day.
C. Booked via Official Hotel Website
If you booked directly through the hotel’s official website, the process is usually straightforward.
Some hotels provide a section during booking to enter your arrival details, while others may only have a “Notes” column for you to include your ferry timing.
In many cases, hotel staff will follow up by email to ask for your ferry schedule. Some may also send arrival instructions automatically. There may be times when no follow-up is sent, but there’s no need to worry, once you’ve shared your ferry timing, your arrival details are typically recorded under your reservation.

How to Find Bintan Hotel Staff at Bandar Bentan Telani ferry Terminal
When you arrive at BBT, most hotels in Bintan Resorts have their own counter inside the arrival hall. Hotel staff representatives are usually waiting with signage showing the hotel name or hotel logo, so they’re easy to recognize.
