Hotel Shuttle Services from Bandar Bentan Telani (BBT)
Hotels within the Bintan Resort area provide shuttle transfers from Bandar Bentan Telani (BBT) Ferry Terminal.
The shuttle can be a bus, a minibus, or a private car, depending on the hotel.
This guide covers which hotels offer this service, how to arrange the transfer, and how to meet hotel staff at BBT Ferry Terminal upon your arrival,
since there are two different arrival gates depending on the ferry ticket class you booked.

The Residence Bintan is also included, even though it is located in East Bintan.
If you are staying at a hotel outside this list, you need arrange a private transfer instead, since shuttle coverage does not extend to every property on the island.
How to Arrange the Shuttle
Shuttle arrangement works differently depending on how the hotel was booked.
If you booked through a Bintan hotel package, you do not need to do anything, since the shuttle is already arranged.
Booking Directly Through the Hotel's Website
Many hotels request ferry schedule details during the online booking process. Some also include a notes field for arrival information.
Hotels typically follow up by email before arrival to confirm the pickup.
If you receive no confirmation two or three days before travel, contact the hotel directly with:
- Ferry travel date
- Ferry time
- Ticket class (Economy or Emerald)
Club Med Bintan is the one exception. It can only be booked through its official website, not through OTA platforms, and shuttle transport is usually already included.
Booking Through Agoda, Booking.com, or Another Platform
If you book this way, you can contact the hotel directly using the “Contact Property” feature on the booking site.
The message to the hotel should include:
- Ferry travel date
- Estimated arrival time
- Ticket class (Economy or Emerald)
Emerald and Economy ticket classes follow a different arrival guide inside BBT Ferry Terminal.
Including the ticket class helps hotel staff know exactly where to stand by and wait.

How to Meet Hotel Staff at BBT Ferry Terminal
Hotel staff from the hotels listed above stand by at every ferry arrival from Singapore to Bintan.
They wait at the arrival gate holding hotel signage, so you do not need to worry even if the hotel has not replied to your shuttle request yet.
The guide below explains where to meet them, since the arrival gate differs by ticket class.
Regular / Economy Ticket Class
Economy passengers go through standard arrival clearance first.
This includes immigration clearance, customs inspection, and arrival checks.
Before travel, you should also prepare your Bintan Visa on Arrival (if required) and the All Indonesia e-Arrival Digital barcode, which some Bintan travellers simply call the Bintan arrival card.
Both are needed for entry into Bintan Island, Indonesia from Singapore
After clearing customs and collecting baggage, check that you have not left any luggage in the inspection area. The arrival hall is located just outside the clearance area.

Inside the arrival hall, you will typically find:
- Hotel staff holding hotel signage
- Hotel counters on both sides of the hall
- Shuttle coordination staff
Approach your hotel representative and state your booking name. Staff will then check the booking, assist with your luggage, and guide you to the shuttle area.

Some hotels use shuttle buses, mini buses, while others use private cars.
If hotel staff cannot be found right away, especially during busy weekends, you can ask:
- A terminal security officer at the arrival hall
- Other hotel staff nearby
- Ferry terminal information staff
Emerald Class Ticket
Emerald passengers disembark first and are guided directly to the Emerald Lounge by terminal staff.
Refreshments such as coffee, tea, and other drinks are usually available inside.

While you wait, terminal staff collect your passport and luggage receipt.
Staff then handle immigration clearance, passport stamping, and checked luggage collection on your behalf.
Before leaving the lounge, confirm two things:
- The passport has been stamped for Indonesia entry
- All luggage has been returned
You exit through sliding doors outside the lounge, where hotel staff usually wait with hotel signage.
