Grab in Bintan: Where It Works and Where It Doesn't
Grab is available in Bintan, but its coverage is limited to certain areas of the island.
GrabCar is mainly available in the Bintan Resort area around Lagoi and in Tanjungpinang City.
GrabBike and GrabFood are available in Tanjungpinang, but not in the Bintan Resort area.

However, travelers visiting several attractions across different parts of Bintan may need a different transportation arrangement.

Where Does Grab Work in Bintan?
Bintan Resort Area (Lagoi)
GrabCar is available within the Bintan Resort area in Lagoi.
It can be used for trips such as:
- BBT Ferry Terminal to resorts in the Bintan Resort area
- Transfers between resorts in Lagoi
- Trips to Lagoi Bay
- Trips to Treasure Bay Bintan
- Visits to Safari Lagoi and nearby attractions
- Trips to nearby restaurants and golf courses
However, Grab availability in Lagoi is more limited than in Tanjungpinang.
Only GrabCar operates in the Bintan Resort area.
GrabBike and GrabFood are not available there, and GrabCar availability can depend on the number of drivers available at the time of booking.
Tanjungpinang City
Tanjungpinang has broader Grab coverage than the Bintan Resort area.
Travelers can generally use:
- GrabCar
- GrabBike
- GrabFood
For visitors staying in Tanjungpinang or traveling around the city, Grab can be a convenient option for short everyday trips.
Coverage may become more limited when traveling outside Tanjungpinang.
Can You Use Grab to Travel Around Bintan?
No. Grab does not provide island-wide coverage in Bintan.
Grab is mainly available in Lagoi and Tanjungpinang, so travelers visiting attractions in other parts of Bintan should not assume that a Grab will be available for every journey.
For short trips within Lagoi or Tanjungpinang, Grab can be convenient.
