Bintan Fireflies Tour: Watch Fireflies Glow on the River
Bintan Fireflies Tour is a 45-minute evening boat cruise along the mangrove-lined Sebung River, where fireflies can be seen glowing among the trees as darkness falls.
A local guide and boatman accompany the cruise throughout, allowing visitors to quietly observe the fireflies from close by.
This is an all-inclusive tour with private transport, driver, boat, guide, and other essential arrangements included.
The boat departs from a dedicated jetty with flexible departure times between 18:30 to 20:00.
Choose your preferred departure time, and we will advise the appropriate pick-up time based on your hotel location.

Note: Pick-up or drop-off outside the Bintan Resort area is subject to an additional IDR 100,000–300,000 per transport, confirmed upfront based on your hotel location.
Tour Itinerary
- Pick-up Service
You’re picked up from your hotel lobby by private transport. The boat departs from the jetty between 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM.
Your hotel pick-up time is confirmed at booking based on your preferred departure time.
- Transfer to the Jetty
The journey to the jetty takes around 15–20 minutes from hotels in the Bintan Resort area, or about 60 minutes from hotels in East Bintan.
- Before the Tour
At the jetty, you’ll meet your local guide and receive a short briefing before boarding. Life jackets are provided for everyone.
- Fireflies Experience
The fireflies cruise takes approximately 45 minutes along the Sebung River through the mangrove forest. As darkness falls, you’ll have the chance to see fireflies glowing among the trees.
- Refreshments
After the cruise, light refreshments such as soft drinks, young coconut, or ice cream are offered at the jetty, subject to availability.
- Return Transfer
After the tour, your private driver will be waiting to take you directly back to your hotel.
- Optional Stops
If you need to pick up drinks, snacks, or other essentials, you can also stop at the nearest convenience store along the way.
For dinner, the closest options include the local food court at Simpang Lagoi or Bintan Brother Seafood, also located in Simpang Lagoi.

If weather conditions prevent the tour from operating safely, we will arrange a rescheduled date first.
If rescheduling is not possible, a refund can be provided, subject to applicable administration and processing fees and the processing timeline.
Cancellations made at least 4 days before the tour date are eligible for a refund, minus applicable administration and processing fees.
Cancellations within 3 days of the tour date and no-shows are non-refundable.
