Safari Lagoi Bintan: Animals, Price & How to Get There

Safari Lagoi & Eco Farm is a wildlife rescue centre and farm in Lagoi, northern Bintan. Most animals here were rescued from illegal trade or injury and can no longer survive in the wild. Visitors explore on foot or by rented buggy.
It’s within Bintan Resorts in Lagoi, an easy stop for guests staying at hotels in that area.
Highlights include Sumatran elephants, orangutans, Komodo dragons, a crocodile, sun bears, and a walk-through bird aviary. The Eco Farm side has dragon fruit, sunflowers, a black soldier fly composting area, stingless bee honey tasting, and seasonal fruit picking.
Visitor feedback is mixed: some describe it as educational and meaningful, others raise concerns about enclosure conditions. Worth visiting with realistic expectations.
Most visits take about one to one and a half hours, so it pairs well with lunch, the beach, or another nearby stop rather than filling a full day.
Entrance is IDR 150,000 per person, paid on site in cash or by credit card.
Buggy rental costs around IDR 500,000 per buggy, first-come, first-served, so arrive early if you want one. Guests staying in Bintan Resorts can reach it by Grab Car.
It can also be combined with other stops, like the mangrove tour, as a custom itinerary : plan a custom trip
