Bintan Mangrove Tour is a boat cruise through the Sebung River, one of the island’s key mangrove ecosystems, with private transport included to and from the jetty.

A local guide accompanies the group throughout, sharing details about the river’s ecosystem, with a chance to spot wildlife such as monkeys, kingfishers, and monitor lizards along the way, depending on conditions on the day.

Pick-up Service
Pick-up is arranged with private transport, available from Bandar Bentan Telani Ferry Terminal or directly from the hotel lobby.

Journey to the Jetty
For guests staying within the Bintan Resorts area, the drive to the jetty typically takes around 15 to 20 minutes.

Mangrove Cruise
The cruise lasts approximately 60 minutes along the Sebung River. The guide shares details about the mangrove ecosystem and the wildlife found in the area, with a chance to spot monkeys, kingfishers, monitor lizards, and other animals depending on river conditions and daily activity. As with any nature-based activity, sightings can’t be guaranteed and vary from day to day.

Return Transfer
At the end of the tour, guests head back to the jetty, where the driver is ready to transfer them back to their hotel, resort, or the ferry terminal.

Additional Stops
If time allows and it’s along the route, a short stop at a nearby restaurant or minimart can be arranged before continuing to the final destination, if requested in advance.

How to Book

Contact BTG via WhatsApp or email with the tour date, hotel, and number of guests. The team will check availability and send the price and booking details. Booking early is recommended during weekends and holidays.

Payment

Advance payment is needed to confirm a booking. A deposit may be accepted, depending on the tour date. Payment goes directly to PT Bintan Travel Guide’s official account. Card payment is also accepted.

Cancellation Policy

Cancel at least 4 days before the tour date to get a refund, minus admin and processing fees.
Cancel within 3 days, no-show, or unused service: no refund.

Weather Conditions

Weather affects safety and comfort during the tour. If weather is not suitable, the tour can be rescheduled first. If rescheduling isn’t possible, a refund will be offered.
